Work in progress: Questions

Since I have so many questions when it comes to my car, I decided to make one thread for all of them :P

I took some pictures today to go with the thread aswell.

First off, a picture of it now:

Bigger Picture.

And here is a list of what I have done, and what I am going to do:

- New(used) ECU
- New heater
- New timingbelt (and pulley)
- New sparkplug
- New distributor cap
- Fixed dynamo
- New shocks (back)
- 100w lightbulbs
- New red interior / speedo lightbulbs
- Checked and replaced all fuses
- Grind/sanded all rust, and painted
- Fitted Mille Miglia 18" rims with Yokohama tires 225/40/R18 (S306)

Whats left:

- New o2 sensor
- New Y-Pipe from Warpspeed (Ebay) (?)
- New brakepads
- Finish sanding and paintjob
- Change the right hand front fender
- Swap seat back with a non-holed one

Here is a test from me painting the frontbumper, you can see the diffrence (no clearcoating yet).

And this is my rear door:

Still a lot to do here. I am going to grind it down, and paint with rust-stop.

This is the rear fender, instead of cutting and welding a new, I decided to use bondo (or whatever its called in English) to fix it instead, going for the cheap solution >_< )

Is there a complete exhaust set with catback and y-pipe ? Or should I just buy a y-pipe from warpspeed and a random muffler ? (And keep the original exhaust+cat?)
Should I also buy new studs?

Will Nissan 200SX brakepads fit maxima?

I also need a cheap strut-bar, I think it bends a little in corners :P

How does it look so far?

200sx is a drastically lighter car. You have a maxima, they make pads for it.

Ebay has strut bars for as little as 15 shipped.

Always liked those wheels.

Don't use that rust stop crap. Grind a brush it down to the metal, use petroleum jelly to eat it out. Some rust treatment, and a primer made for rust. Leave the actaul paint to a pro.

Studs are always easier to change when their not broken. I would advice you change them.

Im using a antirust primer yes (Ive just slapped a primer on so that I could drive to work.)

I will try to paint it myself, ive done some paintwork before. And the car itself is kinda cheap :P
