VE Dipstick Question

How deep into the oil pan does the dipstick stick out? I know it is kind of hard to look at that but people on the .org know a lot of things like this so I figured I would ask. Reason being, I changed the oil pan gaskets and rtv. Got everything back together and started putting oil in the car. When I went to check the level the dipstick is stuck. I figure I will have to redo everything but I am wishing to delay that for as long as possible.

There was a recent thread that mentioned you must remove the dipstick before replacing the oil pan or it may get bent and stuck on something. This may be what happened to you.
