Need some friggin help

Ok, I've been searching under the dash for a while now and I can't find the Turn Signal Flasher relay. Anyone have a freaking clue where the hell it's at? I have the center "kick panel" out, and Chilton's says it's right by the steering column..... BS!

Anyone have some better clues? Maybe a picture of it's location?

Thanks for the picture, but some of that is hard to make out. Thats showing it to be under the actually steering column cover. Which of course I can't get it to come apart even though I have taken out the 4 screws. This is retarded just to have some turn signals.

No,it is to the right of the steering wheel...

There is another screw on the side by the door,it has a little round plastic beauty cover over the screw end...

Yeah I have that. I have the whole panel off. Now I just can't spot the little thing.

Here is what AutoZone.com says about it.
"On your 1990 Nissan/Datsun Maxima, the Flasher is:
FRONT SEATING AREA, DRIVER SIDE, UNDER DASH,
ABOVE FUSE PANEL, MOUNTED ON DRIVER SIDE OF STEERING COLUMN"

Been there, looked there, not Shi* there. This is just pissing me off. And of course the Service Department at Nissan isn't answering my calls, because they are giving me the run around on doing the fuel filler neck recall for me.

If you can't figure out how to change a signal relay, I think you need to buy a bicycle instead of a car....douchebag! lmmfao j/k bro

Ok, I done a search on google hoping it would give me a result for where the relay is, then I came across a forum where a guy with the same year Maxima as mine was broken into and they broke the Hazard light button, just like they did to mine trying to get the stereo out. And here is one response to it, think this could be my problem?

"First replace/repair the broken emergency sw, its connected into turn sig circs. Sometimes sw may 'hang' in mid pos causing turn sig to die"

Are you sure your hazzard switch harness is pluged in?? The signals will not work if it is not...

I have forgotten to plug it back in a few times after i switched out/worked on my head unit...

Hell no it's not plugged in. When my car got broken into they destroyed the switch trying to pry the trim around the radio out. But the signals worked for a couple of days after it happend. Well, looks like I'll be junk yarding it tomorrow.

Yeah no kidding. You would THINK they wouldn't make it on the same circuit incase something happens. But car companies never think of that, just like I never thought of needing the hazard button plugged in.

Thanks for all the help though everyone!

Thread revival! Been having trouble with mine as well. Saw the hazard light suggestion and checked that and sure enough i had neglected to plug it back in after messing there a day or two before. Now my hazards lights work, but blinkers still dont. Checked the fuse, its good.
So Im looking at this picture here which is actually a really good pic, only for some reason its not accurate. Nowhere around the ASCD is there any place the flasher unit could possibly plug in!
So if anyone could possibly personally take a picture of it so I can actually see it in 3D or something. Anything to fix this cuz i am already sick and tired of using hand signals! Greatly appreciative.
