I want to see beam patterns.

That's the most important thing. The current (stock) pattern is about like using a Coleman lantern.

It would be nice to have some projectors. Since the headlights was redone why not just do them with projectors? For that price you could get a nice pair of E36 halo projected lights albeit with some modding.

Otherwise. NICE LIGHTS.

So true, do you have any pics of these on a Maxima? They just seem very plain to me but I am still interested.

here you go for those that wanted to see the e-bay ones
link 1
I don't know the company so I don't know the exact quality of these, of course beware e-bay quality

BTW checked how much they would cost and you wouldn't save much, and CE is a more trusted company.

Sorry but I would not buy these guys. Look at them. There is no pattern cut into the reflector part (ie no diamond cut) for the beam pattern.

You can do this yourself by taking your glass lens off and put the wade covers over your stock light. Sorry but thats all those are...stock lights with clear glass covers...I know I have taken the stock lights apart. The lighting will suck just like original because there is no real way to focus the beam with the smooth reflector.

Not to mention they will be ugly without the diamond cuts in them like new cars.

Thanks for trying something new but without it being diamond cut and having a nice pattern I am not buying it.

Now flame me all you guys want but simply look at them and you will realize I am right.

mike has a point. but with a custom job, while you've got the glass off, you have the chance to install a cap that directs the light towards the reflector, more evenly dispursing the outgoing light. just look at an acura tl for an example. i've wanted to do this for awhile to the max lights. plus, the use of the wade cover allows a more streamlined look with your corners which you could modify as well like goon's done. those lights still look nice though and a quick plug and play solution.

I've always though of mine as just coloring on the front end, and used my driving lights to see.

Oh... and you can pick up a set of Hella E36's for the same price.

I do have an idea though. It would be rather expensive but really nice.

Take the clear glass lenses off of those and put them on the BMW lights and mold the black plastic of the BMW lights to fit. That would be the best sealed factory looking BMW install ever. I dont have the money to throw away on them to do it though.

Damn man, that would be about a $500 project just for headlights, if not more than that.
Although I am tossed, I do like the looks of both sets.

The Only way those headlights would sell better is if they were some sort of projector beam pattern in the inside with low/high beams with out it having the reflection portion of the glass the beam pattern will be destroid. O and if you was to run hid's you would blind on comming traffic. and last but not least it would look rather odd because of the sides coner markers have a different texture in light pattern and then you would have clear glass up front.

Would'nt buy not worth the money I personaly took my stock apart a black them out !!!!!!!

Nice to know that someone out there is repping up the 3rd gen. max enthusist

Go euro !!!!!!!!!

unless you already own the E36s

to each his own but I just dont like the look of this big chrome "smooth" headlight. If it were diamond cut and used an H4 bulb that would be different and I would be very interested but like I said this is just the factory light with a clear glass lens over it.

I dont see how it can have a decent pattern because the lines on the front of our lights are used to difuse the light and make the beam pattern. Diamond cut lights use the different angles on the reflector to make the pattern. These lights have neither of these things so how can the pattern be decent?

I also think it will look funny with our corner lights since they (the corners) will still have the non "euro" clear look.

edit...sorry slowdownse...didnt see your post when I replied or I wouldnt have said the same things.

Projectors would really make these nice! Custom Enterprise should atleast make some AE versions of these, with the blacked out housings, like the 4th Gens get, instead of the pure chrome/silver.

I really think they look tacky granted they may look better on a car but not for me either. a good e 36 conversion is better for visibility. the hardest pat of the E36 conversation is aiming the headlights right! and that isn't TOO hard just time consuming and like mentioned earlier a good set of driving light will compensate for any "lantern" effect

the stock one i felt like i was driving blinde and upgraded the bulbs and it helped ALOT! but ended up melting the connection and that was even worse. with the E36 got some good APC lights and they make a GREAT diffrence

exactly; i still like the e36s better as of now anyway...especially the halos. i would love to see what the beams look like at night as well, though...

if i end up buying...I DID ALL OF THAT CUTTING ON MY OLD BRACKETS JUST TO HAVE TO BUY A NEW SET A YEAR LATER!!! lol
