Sponsorship

Ok, so I filled out an application at Hot Import Nights in Indianapolis. I recieved a notification that I have 16 companies wanting to sponsor my Maxima. Of course everything comes with a catch. I had to send them $90 for the application process, which I did. Then I found out you have to PAY for the parts for your car (But at pretty resonable prices) and if you attend a car show and win they reimburse you for the money you spent. But the chances of winning a car show around here are slim to none. For those wondering, here is the list of my sponsors.

Auto-Air Colors
DecalKits.com
Monkey Video
R-Blox
Stoner Car Care
Xtreme Flamekitz
Warlock Security
Max-It-Out Video
StreetFX
Kyowa Racing
Tsunami Audio
RevPM: Body Kits
Blaupunkt
Vertical Doors Inc.
Fidanza

Really no reason for this post, I was just excited more or less lol.

if you knew you would win, i might say go for it, seems more like a money making opportunity for those companies though. a real "sponser" shouldn't charge you for the parts. think about it man, why would these companies sponsor a 1990 maxima gxe?? hopefully you can end up with some good deals at the least.

yeah i have seen that too they told me the same crap!!!!!!! keep your money unless your looking to buy those product that it will save you some money. any true sponsorship does not require a FEE. you might still have to buy the stuff at cost but this one is crap resubmit a request with like a 69 gremlin and they will tell you the same stuff only say that you are doing a tuner style they will tell you they same stuff. the website is probably something like www.carsponsorships.com yeah they list the exact same sponsors as the potential sponsors

let me guess...

youre talking about Sport Compact Pro?

i submitted to have my car sponsored and they called and wanted the $89, etc.
you have to attend 3 car shows through them and they prefer that you put their decal on your car and represent, etc. i could just go down to the TH action track and as long as i take pictures, theyre cool with it. i could never do it, my car barely runs a high ten on the 1/8th mile and id feel like a sham, but i know a guy that is sponsored (has a POS late 80s civic hatchback 1.5 liter bored out to 1.7...VERY fast for a non v-tech) and they went halfsies on his stuff. thing is, if you want to get cheap labor, you have to go to a mechanic that they work with, etc. too many catches for me.

I paid it because I had no idea that I would have buy the products beforehand. And most of them want 2 8" decals applied to the car. So I might as well just call the $90 a loss. If I would have known all of that before I would have told them to forget it.

roflmao sponsorship on nissan maximas dat are a decade old or more lolz yeah right no car companies will sponsor our type of cars even though that would be nice but also think about it most the things they offer are nothing to what we want to do to our own rides if u want sponsorship hook ur car up the way u want it go to shows and win and then maybe by chance you would actually get a real sponsor come up to you and give you a real sponsorship if they like what they see as most car companies see no big money in the older model nissan maximas plus i have my own plans as to how i want my ride to look not going with some company thats gonna tell me how it is to look you know what i mean?

Any place that wants you to PAY FOR SPONSORSHIP is a scam. Think about it.. SPONSORS PAY YOU. YOU DON'T PAY THEM.

enough said.
