Pimp my ride sponsership

alright i saw a link to some pimp my ride sponsership , In some guys sig i clicked it just for the hell of it thinking it was some rip off , And i filled out an applaction. And the next day they sent me this back saying.

Hi Warren,

Congratulations! You have been chosen for the Pimp Your Ride Sponsorship! Before we go into the details on your exciting new sponsorship we want to thank you and our sponsors for making this opportunity possible. Without VerticalDoors Inc, Tsunami, RevPM.com, Blaupunkt USA, Optimal Graphics Inc., StreetFX, and our other exclusive sponsors, this would not be possible. If you are not familiar with these companies and the types of sponsorships they award, we suggest that you visit our website to learn more.

Also, because you only filled out our fast app, our sponsors require some additional questions about you and your future car plans. For your convenience, I have set up a web page for you. Please go to https://www.carsponsorships.com/ and answer the questions to the best of your ability. Please keep in mind; we have the right to refuse your application for any reason. To ensure success, please answer the questions appropriately, clearly and truthfully. Please submit your answers as soon as possible. Once submitted, we will contact you via email or phone within 24 hours.

In the meantime, please gather any photos of your vehicle as we may require those at some point during the sponsorship period for before/after press releases.

Sincerely,

Ragen St. Peter
'Pimp Your Ride' Campaign Manager
East Coast Division

A33's right. I knew a bunch of people who did the carsponsorships.com thing all the while me telling them it was a scam. But no, they happily paid their $90 each and got their super-cool decalkits.com sponsorship...

..And nothing else.

Free stickers...wooohooo!

Jesus....why would ANYONE give some online site their credit card numbers without KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO GET IN RETURN!?!?!?!

If they really wanted to "sponsor" your car, they would be sending you things, and you wouldn't have to pay for them!

Like the above post states, you're going to end up having spent $90 for a pair of kewl stickers from decalkits.com.

Even if, look at the other companies:

- verticaldoors, inc: you really want those gay lambo doors on your ride?

- Blaupunkt: who uses Balupunkt car audio these days?

- Tsunami audio: ok, so you'll get some free 2-gauge wires maybe.

- all the others: never heard of them.

call your credit card company and BLOCK ANY CHARGES FROM THAT COMPANY, else you might as well burn money or flush it down the toilet. Sorry these guys scammed you, but always ask here firts before doing something like this - you're not the first or the last person to get scammed by this group.

My thoughts exactly. Why would a "sponsorship" need YOUR credit card info?

Makes no sense at all, did you even think before you went ahead with that?

its a scam...

first of all, they call it " pimp YOUR ride" so its nothing to do with pimp MY ride.

second, they only charge your credit card when u get sponsored. So they have a sticker company make some stickers, then they say its worth XXX, then they charge you and you are stuck with creppy stickers and a charge on your CC.

They make you think that you will get a crazy sponsorship because they ONLY charge when YOU get sponsored, but they create another company that makes stickers to scam you.
