93 SE 5-speed with 308k. Engine is strong and I try to keep up with various repairs. But the structural integrity of the frame as been severely compromised. If I jack the car up in the front, It jams the front doors. I would like to fab a front strut brace but looks difficult. Has anyone seen one for a 3rd gen?

a strut tower brace?

you can use one from a 5th gen. I don't think that will solve your problem, though. You must have some kind of weakness caused from rust or damage.

You might be able to get some subframe connectors to help with strengthening your car.

I didn't think a strut brace would fix the door jam problem, I just want to improve suspension response. Will a fifth gen front brace work? Can you point me to an example car?

umm, I think every VE on this site has a 5th gen strut tower brace. I got mine off ebay about 3-4 years ago for $20.

I think mine is like this one:

5th gen strut brace

It does touch the foam on the AC line, but mine has gone for years with no problem.

220,000 miles and counting...though repairs seem to be coming more frequently. Just replaced a hose on the gas tank

You can purchase subframe connectors from Warpspeed, that may stiffen the chassis a strut tower brace won't help.

Wow! Good on you! Is that with an original transmission and engine (i.e. no rebuilds of either)??

Now there are 89766384957364958744 sorry!

I guess if American made cars got this kind of mileage we would be talking about them. Every Ford, Chevy, and Dodge I have owned lasted about 150K thats it.

For the "What it's worth department" I own a 1991, 1992, a 1994 Maximas and a 2004 Titan LE, I found out I like driving my cars instead of spending time under them. I also had a 2000 tundra but when the tranny with at 78K miles I had the toy shop fix it and then took it right over to Nissan. So in my book Nissan = High Mileage. Just do the correct maintenance.
