The green light that goes around the ignition does not go off off one i take the key out of the ignitionm get out, and lock the door.

Any ideas?

 

That's one odd glitch I've never heard of.

 

Possible TCU situation? anyone? that's weird

 

Actually the TC unit was the only thought that came to mind for me as well. I resoldered mine a while ago when I had some funky issues. If you can manage to get to the dayum box and crack it open give it a whirl. It's hidden quite nicely. If you're close to a yard it would likely be easier to just pull another one and swap it. Of course, this is assuming it actually has anything to do with your problem. ??

 

What is the TC?

 

Time control Unit

 

It's a little box looking deal behind the factory alarm under your dash, it controls your wiper timer, how long your dome/interior lights stay on, seat belt warning, ignition chime ect. if you have a FSM it shows you what all the wires going to and fro are doing. Try looking into that.

 

Are you sure it dosent go out after like 30 sec.?
