intake probs

I have seen/heard of a few VG powered maximas having idle problems w/ the K&N panel filters. Once the K&N was taken out, the idle quality was restored. Why this is? I have no idea. The VG maf must not like the way the K&N Panel directs the air into the maf. The cone style has not given the VG guys any problems(I have not seen/head of any)
Put the stocker back in to see if that is truely the problem.

Has anyone had problems with there maf after installing a k&n filter. Thought it would do me some good so I bought one, but caused surging at idle. Can I tune around that? Do I have a bad maf? Someone please help.

Cone = better performance than panel
I think you should find out what's wrong w/ your car first.

i also had trouble when i tried the k&n panel filter. it felt like my car was going to stall at red lights, and it did one time. i took it to nissan thinking i had to get new injector. they said the air box was full of the oil from the filter, and that some of the oil must have gotten into the MAF. they put back one of those stock paper filters, and the problem went away. so then i got a refund on the k&n filter.
