If you've got the room, look at an aftermarket one for a Z32. they use the VE radiators as upgrades, so an alu rad from a Z32 should fit the max as well.

These people are my favorite to date:

http://www.absoluteradiator.com/

I get the largest aluminum radiator I can find that fits in stock location with no modifications.

Bingo!
People totally ignore the fact that 99% of the radiators installed in the cars by the OE do a VERY effective job of cooling motors well beyond their design specifications.

Heck my 83 impala had a brand new 6 cylinder radiator in it when I bought it, I swapped in a V-8. left the v6 radiator which is roughly 2/3s the size of the V8 one. I drove the car for over a year until I sold it with not so much as hint of cooling problems.

Just keep your radiator clean and it will cool the car just fine, as well as allow the car to get up to operating temperature and stay there like it should.

Yeah, stock are supposed to work very well, at least with a stock motor and in 93 turbo gxe's case with a turbo and etc supporting mods.

It is just my preference, not a necessity, to upgrade to the largest aluminum radiator I can find that will fit in stock location with no mods when a radiator goes bad on a car that I plan on driving a lot/I care for.

If I was using forced induction, ESPECIALLY ON A CAR THAT IS N/A FROM THE FACTORY, I'D DEFINITELY GO FOR THE LARGE ALUMINUM UPGRADE NO MATTER HOW SUCCESSFUL ANYONE ELSE HAS BEEN WITH STOCK RADIATOR. Just my 2 psi.
