1989-1991 SE Trunklid Tailpiece Lettering

On the 1989-1991 SE Trunklid Tailpiece in between the taillights, was anyone here able to remove all the decal lettering without incident or scratches? If so, any tips? Thanks.

I removed it, but not without some light scratches. I used a razor blade, very carefully. Then I polished it to remove the scratches

I too used the razor blade and polish technique. Spray some Simple Green on top of the stickers before you scrape as for me at least, it loosened up the glue a bit on the edges.

goof off. let it soak for like 5 minutes in goof off. then take a spoinge with the green scrubby side and scrub and it comes right off no scratchs or anything.

Thanks gents. I don't know if Goof Off is available in Canada where I live or not, but I'll try to find it.
