good news I just got my max back after about 5 months in the shop. The only problem is that the hood and the front bumber are black and the rest of the car is white so it needs painted. so I thought I might as well give the whole car a new paint job. But what color? I was thinking a dark blue what do you guys think?

If you're gonna repaint the car why don't you go with a custom color.

Mix a one-off color or use the paint from a different car.

If and when I paint my car...black on black (leather).

What other colors came with black leather interiors?

Wow thats a smooth lookin paint job...how much does a custom job like that run you? I like my Peral, but its chipping pretty bad on the hood and wheel wells, might get a repaint in a year or so.

i paid close to $1300 for OEM paint for my car... of course they didnt do inside the door jams, so it was a pretty decent price, and no it wasnt no pos maacco job either.... I was talkin to the body shop owner, he had a 82' vette in their getting a custom job to paint it a pewter color... he said it is a $7500 job... i was like wtf... but i must admit the car looked nice, it had a nascar motor in it and all the works... anyways, im rambling on.... so FYI, be ready to pay at least $2400 for a custom paint job for your max

The paint is from dupont. I paid $2500 for the whole job and he did the inside of my door jambs and everything. As a matter of fact, he took off all the doors, the hood, and the trunk lid.

Very nice...thats prety cheap for a job like that. Was "the guy" fom a local paint shop, a friend, or what? I might get a nicer paint job if I can get it that good for that cheap, the places I have looked either totally suck and are cheap, or are really good but expensive as hell.
