lol have you checked your bulbs? start with the easies/cheapest possiblity.

Does the neutral safety switch have anything to do with reverse lights?

nada bro havent really spent time into trying to find out. As work is hard, i come home and rest and study up on things for the max like finding upgrade parts and so on. Also havent really cared cuz most people can tell that im backout lolz. Maybe ill go through tommorrow and look at the wires in the back and also looking at the fuses see if by chance its anything of that sort but i highly its the fuses as all the lights are to one main fuse i beleave

ok so i took out the light boards today and i tested the prongs to make sure they light up and they do so it has to be the wiring or some circuit relay

Sometimes mine flicker when in reverse...if I tap the stick or hold it in reverse, they stay on...might be some kind of switch adjustment.

If you have a 5-speed, there is part called a Position Switch, that is a small plastic cup with a switch on it that plugs into the bottom of the transmission. It is held on by a single screw, with a wire that wraps around the transmission, and plugs to a harness on top. The position switch is what tells your car thar the transmission is in reverse.

It cost about $20 from the dealer, and you'll have to drain the tranny fluid to change it.

I definately have to agree with that "ouch" of yours...I hate tranny fluid, I've seen enough of it with in these last 3 weeks bah! wait..dont manual trannies take something different? I heard something about gear lube but not too sure.

I saw this switch when we rebuilt my tranny and had a feeling it had something to do with the lights, the switch was looking pretty hagard in fact. Also does anyone know exactly what that ground tab is for on the tranny near that switch plug? Is it for the switch?
