Need help with a strange vibration issue

Hello. I have a 93 Maxima SE with about 208K on it that is giving me some trouble. A couple of weeks ago I changed the oil. That afternoon I was running some errands. I pulled into a drive way and didn't notice that there was a very large bump at the entrance. I drove over it and smacked it pretty good. I parked my car and when I came back out and started it up I noticed right away that I was getting a vibration in the steering wheel. To be more specific the vibration occurs when the car it at idle all the way up to about 3200 rpm. After that it goes away. I can cruise on the highway fine but around town I get a very annoying vibration. My first thought was that one of the wheels might be unbalanced but that can't be the problem if I get the vibration sitting still at idle. Thoughts?

How big was that bump?? Maybe you hit the harmonic balancer pulley or the alty pully when you hit that bump..

Check under the car for damage on the side you hit it on...

It wasn't huge but I hit it fairly hard. I have already had a look underneath. There wasn't any visual damage. At least as far as I could see anyway.

Does the vibration frequency change as RPM changes?

Yes. Does that give you any ideas?

You may have knocked the wheel weight off or bent the wheel...

I don't think that is the source of the issue. I can feel the vibration in the steering wheel when the car is at a stand still.
