I feel like a damn n00b asking this, but can someone suggest the best way to remove the cigarette lighter and ring light to swap from one centre bezel to another? I get the small screw in the middle off, but after that, it just looks impossible to get the lighter out without breaking something.

Any suggestions appreciated.

 

that think is a pita, it seems impossible to remove without breaking something. i gave up on it since i was cutting the whole ashtray/cig lighter section out anyway. i'm sure there's a way but i couldn't figure it out either.

 

Last time I removed everything when I was installing my head unit and ipod interface adapter...if you're referring to the connection so you can pull everything off there should be a harness type connection where you have to squeeze really hard and pull it. It was a pain for me but I got it out.

As my motto goes, if there's something you're not sure on and dont wanna break it; try it at the junk yard first

 

just push it out, it takes a little force, but thats really all you have to do. the little part on the back that the light goes into, just take it and push it downward and out, and it will kinda pop/slide the whole thing out with the metal piece.

 

im finally going to ask this question... WTF IS "PITA" !!!!!, i cant think of anything!!!! i can put all the other phrases together... but not this one
