No performance mods on the Maxima other than a sts, stock A4. Which would come out on top if the drivers were not taken into account?

is it a quattro...

I mean, 172hp, running through a 5 speed to all four wheels, it's a smaller, lighter car, I believe that the German will take this one.

I 5-sp ve with min mods agains a 2.8 Quattro might do pretty good depending on the driver. On paper it's pretty close

Performance (quattro models)
1.8 T versions 2.8 versions
0-50 mph (0-80 kmh): 5.8 sec (7.4 sec. auto) n/a
0-60 mph (0-100 kmh): 8.1 sec (9.8 sec. auto) 7.8 sec (9.6 sec. auto)
1/4 Mile: 15.9 sec (16.9 sec. auto) n/a
Top estimated speed: 130 mph (203 kmh) - Electronically limited for North America

Yes, stock vs. stock. Both are 5-speeds, and it's NOT the Quattro.

1.8T

I've raced a 1.8T and I beat it off the line. Don't know how the 2.8 compares though.

good race, seems pretty equal, but I think that the 3rd gen will pull it out then.
