Painted Interior Trim !?!

So I decided I was getting bored of the plain old interior of my VG so I went ahead and started painting a lot of the trim on the inside the same dark green color as the exterior. May have taken it a little far with the door grab handles, but hey, tell me what you think.

Thanks

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have been trying to figure out how much it would cost to repair the leather on my seats, and possibly dye them.

Also, any direction on how to repaint the interior? This has spiked my interest lately (I want to get that M3/M5 duo-tone look going :X

Unique Whips uses spray cans when painting interior panels. Take that old guy that wanted everything white inside his Deville DTS. They did everything except the dash for light reflection reasons. Looked decent on film.

No you don't, I'll go ahead and agree with MyGreenMax94. Spraying Interior trim to me has always looked tacky, sorry.

Try practicing on a junk dash first. See what happens. Try different techniques too.

I think my painted dash pieces looked pretty good . Of course I sanded down the texture and used base/clear.

agreed...not my color though it looks excellent, i was thinking of doing the same job but the aussie sun over here is pretty harsh in summer so i thought it may not look too good if it peels or anything . cheers for the good work dude!

I could agree with a rattle can respray if it was maybe... flat black or maybe a satin. Otherwise, not a big fan of the color invading the interior. Now if you custom milled those pieces from a 6000 series aluminum and anodized them to match the exterior...

I was about to call "rice", but after a few moments of appreciating how neat it was done, I began to think it doesn't look too bad at all. Nice job actually. Reminds me of the old next generation Star Trek enterprise interior all tacky lookin with different colors in different places where they don't belong, but still good. Just don't really know how well it will stay on there.

Oh and Michael, beautiful as always
