How hard to replace CV joint?

How hard to replace CV joint?

I have to replace the passengers side CV join on my gxe. NO ABS. how hard is it? also what tools do I neeD?

not hard, get a seal puller for the the axle seal wheh you replace it.

Impact gun and/or breaker bar, torque wrench, axle nut socket, regular socket set, some spanners, a rubber mallet, and maybe some socket extensions and a U-joint adapter.

Oh, and a CLEAN container to catch all the tranny fluid that will spill out, and a funnel to put it back in when you're done.

i beleive a 32 mm axle nut socket and a big'ol pipe to break that nut (man that did'nt sound right) if you dont have an air compressor

Maximas have a 36mm axle nut...

The first time was a pain, but the other one was not too bad. Definately need a breaker bar without air tools.Oh and if you get help dont let them crossthread the bolts that mount to the bracket underneath. I try not to let anyone other than me touch my car anymore. That is what I get for trying to help someone learn. Aslo make shure you get the corect part The auto parts store I went to gave me the wrong one both times. Just check the splines before you put the new one in.

No unless you just replaced it a few K miles ago, put new stuff in.
