You talkin about the ones that pop out from underneath the radio? Thats the poorest excuse for cup holders I have ever witnessed

Don't know if anybody noticed, but the glovebox door actually has 2 cup stands on the other side..

Even easier - look at the dash lights for an ABS light. Also, loaded 3rd gens also had a leather auto shifter.

Other options: Hood bra (I have) and woodgrain kits (either light wood or burl wood). Here is the light wood option in my car that I had on briefly.

I started out with a bare-bones 1993 Canadian GXE, which had standard ACC, power seated, heated mirrors. HUD was stopped after 1991 except for in some early-model 1992s. I still have an HUD kit from a 1992 that had airbags (rare!) to which I may do the HUD mod next year.

I have added options to my 1993 GXE over the years to the point now that it has an identity crisis! It has 1991+GXE leather seats, VE gauges, 1989-1991 SE tails, 4th gen shifter, and 4th gen e-brake lever boot.

But this thread reminds us how pimped out this car was for its day. Now every new car has automatic climate control, power seats and heated mirrors, but when it was an option only found in upper-end luxury cars in the late 1980s, our beloved third gens had it for only a fraction of the cost new, in addition to super-neat options like HUD.

How many of the SE owners from 93-94 had the double din cassette/cd bose system? I know that Bose was standard on the SE line, but was the cassette standard in 93-94 with the option of the double din radio?
My 94 had dealer installed light woodgrain dash. GXE with Sunroof, dual power seats, Bose cassette/cd, leather and automatic climate control. No ABS. No dealer installed spoiler either. I've always wondered about the keyless entry FOB option in the brochure-on this forum someone said the 94s have a box under the driver's seat for this keyfob. I never looked. Maybe the SE guys should investigate it.
Oh, Pearl paint was an option. So to have a "fully optioned" car, it must be that paint color.
Personally, If i was buying new, I'd have bought a 1994 maxima SE 5 speed manual, black paint, black/grey cloth and no options besides the double din BOSE.-no leather/no sunroof/no ABS.

I know someone who has a double-din CD/cassette radio in a pearl car. Also has leather, sunroof, auto, etc.

I have all the options on my 93 GXE, including the 190 HP engine. No flux capacitor though, which works out well since my last car had one and I got myself banned from time travel for messing around to much with history (IT WAS ME!!!!).

You don't have a GXE with 190hp unless it was modified

The Maxima is one of the few stock cars I could drive in the '92 model year. The rest that I tested: Pathfinder, Suburban, GEO Metro (no center console). And all of them without the 2" roof lowering "skylight", I am 6'7".

That is why I find For having a few cars that fit. Like my lovable Datsun '82 200SX. Had issues with Dealer, but after walking into the Nissian Mechicanic Training School (just behind where I worked) the Dealer was quite helpful. I was racking up miles on the car, 40k the first year. Wife had me put it out just after getting the '93 Maxima, both brakes and seats wear gone, and baby on the way.

Mine according to the car papers is 93 but I'm not sure. I never saw one maxima from this forum (or in the US) that is identic. The seat belts are diffrent, the wheel , the grill and many other details too. I thought it may be the AU/JP/and so.. version. But it has nothing of that was stated above.

It has
Power Seats
Sunroof
Heated Mirrors (if heated means power if not I'm not sure)
ABS
4 Brake Discs
SE Tail lights
Auto tranny (with lether shifter)
Painted mirrors

NO 190hp VE engine
NO Airbag
NO Bose
NO Lether Seats
NO Digital Climate
NO Digital Speedometer

I've got Power Seats, abs, digital dash that doesn't work but sometimes, and about everything else including a dented fender, that costs extra.

Thats really Odd for a 93, I have an 89 with all the toys but didnt come with abs or airbags.... LOL! I wonder who's been exporting these maximas with these different variations LOL!
Im now restoring my ride again inside out, so i plan to add those things in. But yeah for a 93, you'd think you'd have at least your bose system and airbags.

did you do a vin # check of your max? You never know it could have had more goods and downgraded by someone. Is your max a GXE or SE?

the gxe's in canada (brougham edition) had Almost the whole 9 yards, but airbags and ABS (which were optional, until its manditory law in the early 90's)... and it had the VG3.0 (timing belt, SOHC)
Bose were included in the package, sunroof, heated leather seats, digi climate control, sonar suspension III, digi dash, heads up display, back seat heating, power windows/locks, transmission switch (power / comfort)

But from what Caro is saying, it sounds like its custom, or mix and match of things. Cause i know a basic GXE doesnt come with a bose system, or 4 wheel discs and heated mirrors.

I'm probably thinking GXE's were fully flexible with the options back then. Probably all the 3rd gens in general were open to what customers wanted in their car. When i take a drive to Queens NYC, thats like 3rd gen heaven & to be honest you never see a maxima exactly the same, some have different aluminum wheels, some have different back light panels, some come with different front grills. Although the car has its obvious distinctive look, there is no maxima that looks identical to each other their. This is not including the guys who modded their max. But yeah you wanna see 100's of 3rd gens on a regular, go to NYC. A great way to compare in which its easy because I swear every maxima has its different look, and this isnt a mod, its factory.

I don't know if it's gxe or se. I suppose the exported ones are a sort of mixture.

Does anybody have this wheel? wich year is it? Because I'm not sure if 93 is the year of fabrication or the year they put the plates and the documents in my country. Maybe is older but I never found another US maxima with the same grill and the same wheel.

That is the Non-airbag SE wheel used in the US until 1992

Sorry to sorta hi-jack the thread, but where could I get a grill like CaRo's? Isn't that the UK spec grill? I like that grill way better than the ones we got here.
