Bad alignmnet after CV boot replacement?

Guys,
I was thinking about getting a new set of tires before winter come. However, when I checked the remaining thread, the inside thread on both front tires are completely gone. Here is my question:
Since I have replaced both side CV boots, could anything I did caused this problem or it was just miss alignment?
Also, I am not sure if the rear wheel alignment can be adjust in my 93 GXE.(What should I ask, 4-wheel or 2-wheel alignment?)
Where should I go for an alignment job? Dealership vs. chain store(firestone, tire plus, etc.) vs other place(sears....), considering the difference on price and quality.
Thanks for your advise

you need a 4 wheel alignment.
I can't really recommend any shop, because I don't live there.
