1993 maxima air conditioner problem

My spouse's 1993 maxima's air conditioner has started to give her problems, just when summer rolls around. Basically it just keeps on clicking on stays on for about 5 seconds then kicks off, i've just recharged it and the problem still exist, any suggestion on where the problem is??

I have exactly the same problem with mine and it's a 93 too. I have a hose that has a leak and that is what is causing it to do that. I also recharged my a/c and it kept doing the same thing. What I recommend for you to do is to get a pressure test on the a/c. It costs about $30 but atleast you will know what the problem is. Let me know what happens!!
