Got a Z. Expressing Gratitude and Bidding Farewell...
Hello everyone! Most of you likely do not remember me; I haven't logged on here in over a year. But there was a time when I was absolutely addicted to these forums, and now that I've moved on, I wanted to drop by and thank everyone for the countless times I received excellent help from you.
I had ordered an '06 350Z GTc back in February from Tochigi, which arrived in early May. Three days before that, I sold my Max; a bitter sweet moment indeed. I loved that car; incredibly trouble-free and powerful. There wasn't a single time that I pushed down on its gas pedal and it didn't put a smile on my face; what a rush! I drove it 1,700 miles from NC to CO and back, and then back again to CO, and it drove like a car fresh out of the factory. What a joy! On the day of the sale, I placed the ad on Craigslist at 8am and by 2pm, it was already gone! A guy bought it for his 16 year son to serve as his first car. The kid was jumping out of his skin after just a 5-minute test drive. I'm sure he will care for it just as I did.
So again, thank you all for your help over the years. Jeff, Matt, Brian, Craig B., Juan, and everyone else....you are awesome! These forums will always get props from me. For over a year, I have been on the www.my350z.com forums; a very different place (one of the longest threads is titled "Do you carry a gun in your Z?" ), so I miss the Max forums sometimes.
Goodbye and good luck!

At least you're moving on to something even the Maxima would want to drive Props to the sexy looking Z. I hope that kid takes good care of the Max. BTW, let's see some pics of your old max, as a last tribute.

That car is teh hotness! I've test driven Z's and they are a real kick to drive! Only thing I don't like is the rear wing...never been a wing fan. Also kind of curious, did you have to order the Brembos as an option? As I recall, they stopped putting them on as standard equipment in 04 or 05.

I know, I wanted to post pictures of the Max here, but I didn't have my digital camera when I had the car, so all pics need to be scanned. I might just do that in the next few days...

This was the view when I opened the garage this evening after the storm passed:
Unfortunately, wife's car wasn't so lucky. Their offices closed at 9am, so she was home practically just a few hours after the blizzard hit, but the accumulation was already so much that her car couldn't climb our driveway and had to be parked right across.
This is what we discovered after the storm. Car is barely recognizable (one in the middle):
Front view:
But atleast we are not as unlucky as this car's owner. Yes, there is a car under there. My only 2 clues were the barely visible third brake light and left side view mirror:
