I wish my car could even stand up to that kind of punishment.
Then again, I wish my car had some more modificationaries.

Nice cars all. Any, despite inevitable, I enjoy the look of underbody neons and the toy cars thing was hilarious! very cool. to the creator of the vid.

Being a Chevy person I think I would have smashed those neons. Even on a lowered truck they are gay but a lifted truck? wtf? Go offroading and one rock gets kicked up and hits them they are toast. Waste of money. Friend of mine wants to get neons for his prelude, i just make fun of him.

thanks for the props eventually i'll do some more vids.

goon or anyone who wants them: there was actually one model for sale on ebay until a couple days ago from the same seller i got mine from but unfortunately the auction is over now. I should have mentioned it before i left town for x-mas. I wouldn't be surprised if the seller has some more though, they can be tricky to find on ebay (must search under diecast or they won't show up) just bookmark and hit up this link from time to time and they will show up if he is selling any.

You paid $70 each for those?

dang, that's pretty steep.

If I get some spare time, maybe we could do some real car videos. I have a few things already from the digicam, but the quality isn't that great. I know I sent some to MrGone, but I didn't know if you had seen them.

oh no, it's just that the 6th gen is the only maxima die cast on ebay atm. plus it's 1:18 scale opposed to the 1:43 3rd gens. also, it looks like that's an official nissan model. i got my 3rd gens for about $5 each plus $14 shipping total. ended up to be about $35 shipped for all 5.

i'm definitely down to make some vids. i'd like to tape a VE vs VG clip before i sell one of them. if you're ever around town in the max, hit me up. it'd be cool to make one of my stock ve against your modded max as well. when i finally get my **** to a meet i'll bring it along w/tripod and get some good footage for a nwm crew vid

It looks like no one wants to buy it, so I might just do that. I need to get some tires, though. Other than the studded snow tires, I am about out. When the weather gets better, I will drive the car for once and get into town.

lolz i bet that ve max was prolly a auto its far easier to keep the car in one place and do a burn out in it cuz ive done it before when i had my auto ve and it burns pretty well but yeah juz prey your tranny doesnt mess up from doing it. now i cant even keep the car still while burning.its easy to do it with an auto ve and a 5 speed vg but its not so easy to roast my tires without my max pulling forward like a bat out of hell lol

a agree marshall the VE-5 cant stay still in one place atleast not in its stock form you cant keep it from ripping off the spot where you try to do a standing burnout lol but in a 91 vg-5 se ive been able to stand in the same spot alil longer doing a burn out then with the VE-5.

marshall let me guess even with e-brake on it still pulls ur *** end of your call along huh?

i once did a burnout with the ground alil moist and i dragged the rear end about 40 ft forward with the e-brake all the way up.

Are you saying you could do a standing still burnout in your stock VE Auto on dry pavement? How do you do this? Does it involve a neutral drop or wet/sandy pavement?

I can barely spin the tires from a stand still and I have a high stall TC and a crap load of other stuff done. When I was stock, I could BARELY spin them on a wet road.

I can spin mine almost on demand in dry.
in the wet I can spin them for blocks (did it in my Celebrity too )
I think you need more training, or crappier tires

You mean you could spin your stock VE Auto or do a burnout?

Sometimes I could spin the tires on the VE Auto, but it was nothing more than a few chirps. When I was stock, I had 15" Road Huggers. And of course, it's not a skill thing; especially with an automatic.

I just hear people talking about doing a full out smokey burnout with a VE Auto and as much power as I have, I still have a little trouble getting it to do a full burnout on dry pavement. It's just hard to get it spinning above 5K in 1st gear while you're standing still. And you know I have the low end power since I'm able to cut 1.9 60 foots.

Edit: This is sorta the kind of burnout I'm talking about. My stock VE Auto could barely chirp the tires. It's a big difference now. http://www.iwdwebdesign.com/maxima/v...ineBurnout.MOV

It just may be the brand of tire you are using,in combination with a rough textured road..

I have no problem lighting them up..

I lived in Las Vegas, which has the slickest dry roads I've seen just b/c the dust conditions are so bad. The roads are usually shiny and slick from the layer of dust. But then again, it's very high elevation and my car was bone stock with probably a bad KS back when I first bought it. But it did run stock times only when the motor was cool.

Now I am in NC, which has the stickiest roads I've seen. It rains often and the pavement is always clean. I run all summer 17" tires, which definitely helps traction. I should throw on my stock 15" tires again and see the difference now that I'm no longer stock.

it was on black top asphault and the ground was alil damp one night when i was out watching the street races in oklahoma city on 39th where they all cruise and i juz pulled the e brake and had it in first and floored it the car didnt move juz started burning the tires did it for a good prolly 15 to 20 seconds and stopped it then smoke juz pillowed out the tire wells lol. autotragics suck though more problems with trannies then with manuel trannies. and by the way nutral drops are very bad for maxima trannies tryed dat once never gonna do it again. tryed it cuz a honda accord i was bout to race did it all the time and we lined up so i decided to do it as well(keep in mind this was now 4 years ago when i had my VE automatic) and i tryed it the max bogged out then started to pick back up after it bogging out to 0 mph before picking back up. not a very good idea for you to do with a automatic maxima.
