is fsm fuel pres. release procedure bad for car?
is fsm fuel pres. release procedure bad for car?
in the fsm its shows a fuel pressure release procedure as ,
pull the fuel pump fuse and start the car and itll run and stumble and cut out
then do again and \or keep cranking to release residual fuel pressure
now ive done this when say changing fuel filters and other repairs
but it seems like it might be bad for the car to let it run crappy while it slurps
the fuel system dry (which takes alot of start and run and die and cranking to accomplish and even after all that effort when you pull the fuel hose theres still some left
is it bad to do this?would it run lean or dry fire injectors or create air pockets in the line? or??? remember this procedure is in the factory service manual
so take your finger off the flame button this isnt only my idea

how long are you cranking after it dies?
when it dies i'll just start pulling the filter off and etc. i can deal with the small amount of fuel and i don't see that doing any damage to the car at all.
the air will be purged once the pump goes back into action.
