About pictures of car/engine... yes I will show you tomorow, when I picture it

It would be better for gas mileage/engine wear to drive in the highest gear possible, for more power you would want to downshift to a lower gear for like passing/honda killing..

I will look for your pics..

that is awfully rude / ignorant of you.

I was merely pointing out that there several countries which got SEs with the VE or cars that are mixes of SE and GXE bits from different years than the USDM ones.

IE Canada, they got manual seatbelts and Automatic climate control as standard on their GXEs and SEs. the US didn't
Different countries have different variations to meet local regulations

you have a VG30E motor
89-91 style taillights
UK grill and corner lights
SE wheels
GXE parcel shelf
Basically your car is equivalent to a USDM 91 mutt (combination of GXE and SE parts)

Uffff, and what now?
It's seems to be '91? My Max have a manual climate, front seats heating, power windows, electric sunroof but haven't airbag. Maybe it's help to you.

Yes, it's like that. So it's VG30E DOHC, I suppose? In engine on your pic, water hose is placed where is mine ABS.
