Bought a ConSult Cable and Finds ECU but wont Connect

I got ConSult Cable off ebay from the e-Formance guy the cable over all its really cheaply made but as along as it works im find with it. So ive tried many different software to read the ECU but it just hangs up. I have DataScan 1.52, ConZult, ECU Talk, CalumSult I got them all from here. http://forum.pulsar.org.au/showthread.php?t=30057

I do the FIND ECU test in Nissan DataScan and it finds ECU id Hex - EA Active and ECU id Hex - DC Active but does not connect to the ECU. Also when DataScan searchs for ECU my AIRBAG light BINKS 1 Soild Blink then 3 Sec break then 1 Soild again. Any Ideas?

CalumSult just locks up and doesnt find ECU at all

ConZult says No ECU Found.

Any ideas? If anyone else has tried Consult Cable Please post me info and Screen Shots

Are you sure you connected the pins the right way? Also, I would try the software that comes with it, IMO it's better than the others.

interesting, I'd thought your engine was a VG and most of those toys are made for VE?

Humm... I have a gray plug with 2 socket levels (about 20 slots) with clear plastic around it doing nothing, not plugged into anything sitting underneath the steering wheel. Would that be what you're referring to?

Yes, its a gray 14 pin port for ConSult. It finds my ECU but wont connect. When it searches for ECU my AirBag Light blinks any ideas?

Not sure what else to recommend, as I'm not really all that familiar with the ECU differences between VE/VGs, but I would assume that the consult protocol would be the same. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can chime in... have you contacted the seller to see if they could be of any help?

Yes, as you have figured out by now, the grey Consult plug is there on all 92-94 Maximas. It is used for servicing the Airbag system on those cars with the driver's airbag, and for the ECU diagnostics on all VE engines only.
