Those definitely look real good. Once I go HID I may just have to carry a set of 3k's and 4.3k's around to have the best of both worlds. Good light output that looks good and good light output that is excellent in bad weather.

i have TEH same side marker lights
the 1157 bulb is a 2 layered 32 LED wide angle bulb
and the 194 bulb is a 5 LED wide angle bulb
from EBAY! and working perfectly fine for moi

the only thing about the 1157 bulb is that you need to shave the housing in order to get the whole thing in

none have gone out on me and ive had them for about 2 months

also... when installing the 1157 bulb, disconnect the wire that makes it BRIGHTER it might burn them out

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Brigh...95178818QQrdZ1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-HID...88155627QQrdZ1

and these are the EXACT same ones i have, they are like PERFECT white i think, although i know they are not, real white has blue in it

but i have them in my corners and my door lights and i REALLY want them in my damn dash but... that constitutes A LOT of work

and BTW everyone all this info that im telling you is from heresmymind
sooo give him the credit

Oh i have 1 more set up i want to try when i get some money together. I have the black "jdm" clear headlights. I want to retrofit acura TL bixenon projectors into them. since they are made for HIDs. my headlights are halogen projector with hids in them. i need the projectors/shrouds/hid kit. which will run me around 400ish. plus the 98 i already spend on the euro black jdm lights.

That's interesting. The picture of the info plate shows that chassis code as EJ30. Was this different for the VE's or change in 92 or something along those lines? I never knew it changed. (for reference my 90 is a PJ30)

That is very interesting... most of the time when you put HID bulbs into a halogen projector you get massive amounts of glare above the cutoff, almost as if the high beams were on. I didn't notice any of that at all on your setup. Did you just aim them really low or did they come out like that?

It has "ELJ30",not EJ30...

This is the chassis code breakdown per FSM...

Nah im always picked on hehehe. but its ok im SPECIAL i adjusted the cutoff shields 2 8mm washers away from the bulb. that allowed for more blue/purple along the cutoff but stopped with the massive glare. If u bring the shield closer to the bulb the cutoff line turns RED but has more glare. I will also be using 3000k hids with the yellow filter in my next project. see how those work out

That's interesting. I'll have to remember that for all of the people that are doing the conversions now without modifying anything.
