The vent hose is only pressurized by the pressure built up in the tank. It will not effect the actual fuel that the fuel pump is pushing to the motor.

So, I think your high idle is something different. The changing weather and running the AC has an effect on the idle. If you are idling steady at 1200rpm constantly and it never drops below that, then something has changed. If it's not idling smoothly, then look into normal tune up items. If everything is good (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, etc) then you can adjust the idle to compensate. If idle still fluctuates, then look into cleaning your IACV or get a new one.

You can follow the idle adjustment procedure after you have already gone through the diagnostic checklist in the Factory Service Manual.

I dont think your high idle has anything to do with your fuel vent line.

But could be i guess?
check your iacv. my brother's car's IACV (a 93 camry) reacts SO FAST that the P-D shift notices a near instantaneous RPM correction, and a blip-drop of maybe 50RPM if that. The idle on that car is impeccable, and no matter what accessory you engage, it reacts with laser precision. My car, a 3gen maxima... doesn't. If i shift into a gear it dips and bobs and gasps and jumps until it FINALLY decides on an RPM to lock into... sortof... except it still is jumpy and blippy in or out of gear. My iacv is bad i think, because the reaction is pathetic. That and turning my ECU screw makes my idle change. It's not supposed to affect a warm idle, and my neutral warm idle is like 950 with the iacv enabled.
