Hi Guys

I want to put all new dash lights behind my dash. I was just wondering how many bulbs are back there to replace. I need to order them from Nissan. Thanks for the help.

I have an 89 Max SE. If you need any more info just tell me.

 

There are four bulbs that you would have to replace in the 3rd gen dash. The blub # is 194, but I recomend 168. I have 168's in my 91 SE dash and they look darn bright at night.
168 are much brighter than the 194 (3.8watts) stock bulbs, with only slightly higher wattage (5watts)

so the bulbs behind the instru cluster are 168's or 194's? what color do you have behind there... pink? or is that supposed to be red.

also, happen to know what the bulb number is for the various bulbs within the dashboard controls, ie AC unit, dimmer switch, fog light switch, cruise, power mirror and windows, and Comfort/Sport transmission switch?

also, where did you buy your 168 bulbs? does radio hack carry them?

My lights are white/clear, no color bulbs yet. You can get the 168/194 blubs and any auto supply store. Not sure what the other blubs are. They may be LEDs.

 

there are 4 194 bulbs, i just replaced mine with blues, they look great

 

The lights for the a/c, dimmer, etc are actually lights, but there not something you can get at the parts store. Gotta get them from a dealer, I,m still waiting on the 12 that I need..........
