Then you can put in an Exedy and Fidanza while you are in there.
then I have to deal with towing and all that jazz and blah blah blah, I just want a cheap car to kick around. Although the price is right but Hectic said they already sold.

But Portland, I mean even for $500 after sales tax + the gas I'd use going down there and towing it back, and using the clutch I already have, kinda not worth it. I mean I get crappy gas mileage but not bad enough to dump $1000-$1500 + extra insurance. It'd be fun to have a maxima to kick around again but I dunno.

I'll just go back to looking at trucks for you, even though I'm sure you already have craigslist pegged.

By the sounds of it Maximahappy22 got a pretty good steal with that VE. I probably should have jumped on it but meh, it means more to him to have a VE 5spd than it does to me at this point. I'm just glad someone on the org got it.

man, you should just get a Sentra SE-R. I think that's going to be my next project

oh, and I am going to have to wait a week or two on the truck. The dealership that sold my Tundra told me to "come on in and sign the papers over and we can get you taken care of." Well, I signed all the papers today and he said they need to get the title from the bank, so I should get my check late this coming week or early the next

Well i got the compression gauge and i think they came out good:

Back: 180, 175, 180
Front: 175, 180, 180

So based on this i dont think i have any fried piston rings, thus i will deffinatly be keeping the car.

thanks for everyones help with this expirence,
Alex

Yeah, that is fine. You are really looking to see if one or more cylinders is much lower than the others.

Sounds like you got a good deal with this VE! Good job!

Sweet! Let me know if you have any VE track questions. I have a lot of VE tricks up my sleeve when it comes to the 1/4 mile! I can have that car in the 13s all motor really easy.

Learn from your experience, always good to have a mechanic check the vehicle out before purchasing!
