VQ30 in a 3rd Gen?

Has anyone ever done this? I have a transmission and an engine with no place to put it. I searched but didnt find anything.

I doubt it, the most recent one was some dude that paid to have it done. The thread didn't go anywhere simply because he didn't know what was involved.

But if you have a motor and tranny.. Jump into it! Not a direct swap by any means.

just so you know; the owner said that it took him 3 months to get everything done to where it can work fine for him to drive it with no problems. so if you are up for this you better get ahold of a spare car since this will take a good amount of time to do correctly. i too have a VQ on my engine stand and a spare tranny and i will be rebuilding the motor but am not sure if will attempt to do this swap though it wouldn't hurt to experiment since not alot of people have been successful doing it, except for this one person mentioned above. an org member on here even tried to swap a VE into his GXE and that didn't go anywhere for him so he just called it quits. think real good what you are going to do. if you do attempt it, take pics and explain what you did since most of us want to do the same. enjoy

ok well that was helpful. Im just gonna talk to my buddy and see if hes willing to do it. If we do it, there will be a write up, however it wont be a DE-K. Thanks guys.
