What kind of speeding are we talking about here? like no 10 mph over cruising, or no like 30 mph over weaving and such?

Also, how bout legal drag racing at a track, i assume that is ok right?

legal is what we want.
we do not want to promote anything illegal like speeding or street racing.
we just want videos of cruises, around town, in the city, through the country side, etc.
id like to see drag vids too, both outside and inside the car

Bad:
weaving on road with other cars
showing speedometer going over 65
anything dangerous or illegal on public roads
not a bright idea:
showing speed limit sign
good ideas:
nice curvy road with no traffic that has no speed limit signs.
driving without view of speedometer
speedo pics on road course

Havent been on in a whole day and I like what I see. Looks like quite a few liked the idea of cruisin videos! So who lives in AZ? I wanna see some canyon drivin!

Alex V, I wasnt turning hard its just that all I used to hold the camera was a tripod with a seatbelt on

One thing I'd like to work on is having an external camera near the front wheel by the fenders kinda like in professional driving videos and such. Considering I do have two cameras...I think it'd give the video a whole new dimension by editting two recordings into one but for now I'll get better and maybe work on the interior camera holder.

So Wayne, like Benstoked said, would you prefer video links PMed to you prior to posting for approval and to avoid a week ban?

hey, john, you know that if we "act good" we don't have to worry about that.
I would like to see some closed course action, too.

Ah yes, I remember this from a while ago, Who made the song in it again?

His description on youtube says

"This is my goofy documentation of my first ever trip to a drag strip. Not bad for a first time on the strip, but I know I can do better. The song at the end of the clip is also performed by me. My fun tribute to the Nissan Maxima 'Snoop style'.
I gotta say the drag strip is addictive. Hopefully I'll be adding better times as I improve my skills and make a few tweaks to the car."

I guess I answered my own question.

Yes, the song is cool! I'd buy that for a $1 (price is good, seeing some places charge 0.89 to 0.99 ).

Nice vid too.

Well thank you kindly. Yeah, I thought I'd have some fun with a tribute a la Snoop & Pharrell. You can download the full song here:
drop it like its hot maxima version.mp3 - 6.21MB

And yeah, that would be awesome to get $1 for the download lol.
My PayPal account name is hadman[at]rogers.com. Your donation would be awesome, but it is otherwise free.
Maybe I get enough interest, I'll upload another 'bonus Maxima track' I did called "STAN". The 'EmineMax' parody of a fight between two members on my local Maxima club board. I am a moderator there. "Stan: The Jer version" was my way of talking things over with them.
How's that for a teaser. $10 dollars worth of PayPal donations for Drop It Like It's Hot - The Maxima version will trigger the release of "Stan". Ha!

Now, just so you know I've been 10 steps ahead of ya and already was done making the video by the time you posted this...yes I went off roading in a parking lot filled with frozen snow but I cant upload the vid to youtube or photobucket cuz its 108mb and my format converter 15 day trial expired I dont wanna chop the video I just wanna make it an AVI so it can be less than 100mb.

Anyone offer some wisdom?

it has game support for 95% of the games out there. WoW is the only one that I can recall that is sketchy.

gamers (that I know) are unaware of linux compatability for their mainstream games. That, and they pretty much play the "Games for PC" which, when you read between the lines, screams "MICROSOFT"...

But we're OT, and that is a conversation for another forum...

Linux has major problems with ATI video cards though... I have Ubuntu Linux (Yeah, yeah, I know) on a 40GB partition and grub at startup. That's the way to go in my opinion if you don't want to directly make the transition.
