I'm glad you got it on the road, I know you had some issues.
in your first up-through-the-gears you seem to be getting back into the gas too soon. the RPM shouldn't spike like that just before a completed upshift... you're putting power on your clutch before it's finished slipping. your first 3-4 is more like what it should sound like. a direct drop... upshift, RPM goes down, not bounces.
but then I had the same problem on a current-gen Miata. The gas pedal was mad-crazy-sensitive. touch it and you were flying. so I kept spinning against the clutch in the lower gears.

Get everything mounted done well before driving much more.... You'll do alot of damage otherwise.
First video link fixed...

Yeah,napa/advance/idiotzone all can get them, but be warned, they are pricey at all of them...Around $85..
So I dont mean to bring this old thread back to life but I was searching for something else and came across this thread.
After noticing nForce, MyGreenMax94, x-Marshall-X, myself and possibly 94maxshima normally will post a cruising video once in a long while I figured I'd ask in this VIDEO thread...How about having a Great 3rd Gen Cruise thread just like the picture thread? all 3rd gen driving in all types of nice scenery whether nature, industrial, road course, city or just anything interesting. Hell, people can make requests for videos to others in different cities they'd like to see and that have the time and max to drive along with a camera.
Reason for coming up with this idea is that the 3rd gen forums seems to be dead lately. Everyone has same problems with their max as everyone else and people are directed to old threads instead of making new ones [usually].
So Wayne, what do you think? I can start making myself a car camera holder as soon as I'm feeling better and get some interesting routes
Oh got a 1080p high resolution digital camera for christmas that I'd like to attempt and get a cruisin vid with.
So anyone up for this or does it sound
?
Here's a quick video from summer when I installed poly mounts, no y pipe gaskets = loud engine sorry

sounds aight to me. glad to know i'm not the only one with rattling either. but then again half my interior panels are 'minimally secured'. is this after all studs were fixed?
I like the idea. I had a cruising video myself i just never uploaded it because i thought you guys would call it lame...
and quick question
how do you guys mount your camera? and where? because it looks like in the center of the backseat is where it's at.

i usually hold mine. john's, unfortnuately, seemed to move during the filming. i saw someone take a pvc pipe, drill holes in it for the headrest stalks to go through, skewer those stalks into it to hold it between the seats and preventing rollover, then mount the camera somewhere along the middle of the pipe.
i likey the pvc pipe.
i will see what the screw thread is that seems to be standard for camcorders and cameras.
could also see what the dimensions are for headrest centers and such...

Ok guys, just post your vids in this thread,if it becomes popular then I'll consider a sticky..
Words of caution..The videos must not contain any illegal material of any type..(i.e. speeding/racing/running red lights/burnouts/etc.) any blatantly illegal videos posted will be deleted and the member banned for 1 week
I will decide which vids stay, and which do not..
