my passenger side wiper was squeaking so i got new wipers... still squeaks. i found that its a little white plastic part that holds the wiper stable. it broke. so now when i close my hood i have to physically hold the wiper up. and it squeaks. what part is it to replace?> expensive?

no pics. but if u take the windshield wiper arm off. it its a plastic ring that holds the threaded **** straight up and down and lets it spin inside it. mine is cracked. and makes the **** move everywhere

It's called the wiper pivot assembly, and it functions as a bushing. I would go new, as they wear out over time, so junkyard ones will all be worn. I did mine before last winter (complete wiper linkages and pivots) and the difference is amazing. The wipers are like new. I don't remember exact price from the dealer, but should only be a few bucks.

I just replaced the passengers side pivot on my car, was right around $40 from the dealer. I also had to replace the motor, and the transmission arm from the motor to the passengers side pivot. Putting the transmission arm back on the motor was a chore and a half.
