does anyone no if the 3 wires running on top of the passenger control arm/right motor mount connects to the reverse switch or has any thing to do with the reverse lights?

red white and black? should be o2 sensor. see if they follow the center member to the cat-side of the ypipe, and connects to that o2 sensor.

i don't know where those reverse light wires are but i am pretty sure that they run along the floor inside the car

as for the 02 sensor... you can see it if you look under the car, you just can't replace it without lifting the front of the car.

yeah that confuses me. you should have a 33... i had a 33...
if the wires are all cut there should be a code. the no-error code is a 55. are you sure you are checking your codes properly?

you may have the "sensor connected" wire still intact, and the signal-to-ecm wire cut...
thus no code

check continuity from your tranny-side switch

no it's under the hood. FSM page EL-35. Look at your oil filter from the driver side of the car, then look toward you.. you should see two gray connectors on top of the transmission that are like, joined at the hip. that's the a/t gear position sensor switch. your shifter cable connects directly to that lever, and the lever moves the switch and that's what connects the pins to make different things happen. you have to check continuity on that harness thing.
