4thgen steering wheel in a 3rd?

Anyone know if a 97-99 SE wheel ( http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotor...07488513QQrdZ1 ) will fit a 3rd gen? Don't have airbags so thats not a problem. The C/C plugs may be different, but is it possible to just cross all necessary wire? Anyone done this?

should bolt right up.
even without the airbag, you'll still need the spiral cable from the car though. you *might* get lucky and the 3gen one will fit under the 4 gen steering wheel, but don't hold your breath on that.

Last weekend, I tried to swap my old steering wheel from my 240 over.... the connectors are different for the airbag and cruise control (the 240 is missing cruise, but the buttons will hopefully move over from the VE wheel)..

anyway, the maxima spiral cable won't mate up tot he 240 wheel, and the 240 cable has different connectors on the car's end of things. it's a simple matter of cutting the old connector off the 240's harness and soldering it to the maxima's cable. it's only 5 or 6 wires. not a big deal. you'll have 3 or 4 for the cruise control and 2 for airbag. just DON'T SCREW UP THE AIRBAG WIRES!

that's a mess you don't want to clean up, and often entails windshield replacement.
