When i start my car in the morning it turns over tries to run and dies. a couple more tries after and it gets a little better and eventually it runs but it maybe misses or looses gas but it cuts out and rpms drop to like 200 at idle. when you rev it still cuts out. if you hold it steady at say 2k rpm itll drop to 1900 and go back up and over and over.

 

Bad coolant temp sensor maybe?

i know where the coolant sensor is but where is the iac"?

 

by your throttle body

 

theres an auxiliary air control valve there. and if either were bad how would test them.

 

that's another name for it.

 

well i checked around here and the cheapest functional aac is 300$. anyone know where i can get a cheaper one. mine hisses and knocks and clicks and shakes. it works correctly for about 5 mins if i beat it with a hammer tho.

 

look in the classifieds for someone stripping a car.
