RARE JDM, EDM "stuff"

Do the 3rd gens have any rare sought after parts from the japanese or european markets? Ive heard "rumors" of a VQ powered 94 maxima. Just curious what parts are out there.

UK corners, UK lights (use better bulbs but are pointed the wrong way), UK hazard switch (blinks along with the lights), NZ fold down rear seat (not sure where the fold down seats originated from but NZ is the only ones I have seen with it), Canadian non motorized seat belts. Thats the only stuff I can think of and non of its performance oriented.

The production date of the first 4th gens was in the spring of 1994 iirc..But they were for the "1995" year...

For instance,my cars manufacturing date was 11/93,but it was sold as a 1994 model...

you could swap the entire front end over to the A31 cefiro, the fenders, hood, grille, headlights, front bumper. then it'll be "JDM" but i think thats more HONDA-ey. but thats just me

It's all been discussed...WAY too much involved for it to be practical...

As a Canadian in good standing, and of relatively sound mind, your friend's Uncle needs to lay off the wacky tobacky. No VQ powered 3rd gens here ever.
There was however, the SR20 Turbo 3rd gen Maxima, which was offered with an optional ice maker.

I kid. I kid.

No VQs, but Canada did get the awesome "CDM" manual seatbelts.

If you want to be really crazy, the 3rd gens from Japan are RHD. I guess you could "swap" the dash and stuff. I think they had some different trim markings on the Australian or New Zealand models. I thought someone on here years ago had a different "model" of 3rd gen instead of the SE or GXE. I can't remember exactly.

Otherwise, everything has been covered that I can recall.

Very subtle, but JDM and EDM Maximas have H4 headlights in their stock headlight housings.

US/Canadian Maximas use 9004 bulbs which suck big time. At least the 9007 conversion is possible.

Though rare, there are some LHD European Maxima. There was this guy that used to frequent this forum from a Scandanavian country years back, but can't rememeber his name....

On JDM models, there's a shift position indicator PRND2L on the gauge face with the FUEL/TEMP gauges.
