Need a new shift ****

Hey guys, so the chrome on my AE shift **** is starting to peel pretty bad. It's really uncomfortable to shift with, plus it's not so pretty any more. I want to replace it, but am not sure what to go with. Post pics of your custom shift ***** to give me some ideas. If you've got one off another car, all the better! Also, what's the thread size of the shifter?

I have tried the shift ***** that you use pins to hold it in (albeit cheap ones) and I cant stand them so I try to use the screw on factory threaded type.

I was looking for a good shifter **** for cheap this time and found a threaded type on ebay for cheap. It looked OK as it was but didnt match my ebrake handle so I decided to polish both of them so they would match.

here are the pics...

and after:

let me tell you when we put those in with the new black shift boots (ebrake boot as well) it looked really good.

i have this one. its well made, screw-on type, and feels good. the only downside is, it gets kinda hot in the summer and cold in the winter lol.

^^^

I agree, I like the one you have Michael. Link and cost, please

My AE **** is starting to peel, too. What a POS. You would think something factory like that would last a little longer. My car is garaged (no sun exposure) and I have driven maybe 8k miles with it.

well I bought it from this seller on ebay.

I paid 17.90 shipped but I dont see any more like it. The only thing close is this...but its also aluminum and can be sanded down and polished like I did mine.

I do not have any installed pics because we installed them just before the guy that bought the car left. I will see if I can get him to take some pics for us when he gets back from his vacation.
