i did mine and it didnt really stop anything. i dont feel any power loss..or gain. isnt a sign of GOOD VTCs a bad idle if they're grounded? well, i grounded mine and there was no change in anything. am i missing something? i know, its a pretty brainless proceedure. whats wrong with me! :-)

Use a volt ohm multimeter and determine if you performed the ground correctly. I haven't heard of a case where the rewire didn't work. I recently performed it on my g/f's 92 SE and it's been fine. I followed Ryan's procedure.

something interesting that i've recently noticed......the other day my car started doing the clacking again! there is no way in crap i have a bad connection, i soldered everything together. but, the harness/cap thingy (solenoid, i think?) that has the wires coming out of it that you ground, gets just a little bit loose. if i wiggle it around while the engine is running, it will sort of pop, then the ticking goes away. i have to keep it in that position or else the ticking will come back. but it becomes loose like all the time now, and i dont know what i can do about it. that may be the problem for the people who did the grounding and it didnt stop the clicking. it's like i never know if my car will be ticking or not. i hope you guys know what i'm talking about.

here's a pic pointing to what i'm talking about:

any ideas? suggestions?
