The stock offset is 35mm. I thought it was 40mm but then looked it up in the FSM and was proven wrong.

I fit 7.5" in the front w/out a spacer, it is very close to rubbing but doesnt.

LOL, how exactly do you mount these on 5x114.3?

I have been told also (by many wheels shops) that the best size (legal) tyre is a 225/18/40 to suit the 18/7.5 rims . Hope that helps..
thanks, that does help. but is that a regular tire, or a low profile? and if its not low pro., then do you know what is?

No spacers in the rear, but probably in the front.

Sorry about the offset, I was sure it was 40mm.
The wheels shown are avilable in 5/114.3 and will fit no problem.
Why did you think there would be? Does the picture give the rim a deep dish look? I was thinking that myself before I asked the wheel shop...

93maximaGXE-That tyre is a low profile champ..225/40/18
I have been told that if I go any wider in rim size then I will need to modify my front struts/suspension..It's not worth it also my insurance won't cover the wheels or car!

the link didn't take you directly to the page of rims, or a certain rim you picked, you had to fill/choose information in...so it didn't directly link to product.

he was questioning the wheel because the picture you posted is of a 4 lug wheel (dual pattern 4 lug wheel).

IMO I like the style of that wheel but despise dual pattern wheels...especially 5 lug wheels. I just think it looks bad with those extra holes there.

if you put a spacer on a 30mm offset 8" wide wheel it will be sticking to far out. 30mm is fine for clearance but may stick out a little far (maybe right at the lip...not sure)...generally speaking I think the perfect offset for an 8" wide wheel is 35mm.

the best looking wheels from the site mr 93GXE posted from are the Axis Hiro and Axis Reverb. I have liked those wheels for a long time and would have picked one of them had I decided to keep my last car...I probably would have chosen the Reverb because I think they were lighter (hollow spokes) but I don't know because I really like how the spokes on the Hiro come in farther at the point where the lugs are (I think the Hiro looks better but the lightness of the Reverb may have won me over unless there wasn't much difference in weight)...btw Maxxim makes a copy of the reverb called Ahead but don't have as many choices for offset.

i found some 17" rims made by, (sport edition? is that the brand?) but they are 17" x 7" offset +38mm and rec. tire size is 225/45-17. plus, they are only $99 each. like 'em? and do you think that's a decent price?

16x8 or 17x8 +28-30 offset is your best bet. My Skyline R32 GTR wheels are 16x8 +30 and they fit great with no rubbing. I currently have 225/55-16, but 225/50-16 tires will work as well, just a tad small. The 55's are a tad large.
