why do some 3rd gen's have the nissan emblem on the middle front of the grille and some have a tiny "Nissan" in the bottom right of the grille? is this an SE/GXE thing?

 

1989-1991 Maximas have the grille with "nissan" in the lower right.

1992-1994 Maximas have the grille with the nissan logo.

If you also notice, the tail light design is different between the 1989-1991 Max and the 1992-1994 Max.

 

also, SE's have body colored grilles while GXE's have chrome

and if you want to switch, they all fit the same way so you could get any year in either trim

 

thanks, yeh i noticed that some have the middle part of the taillights black. i don't think they look as good as the ones with the whole thing red.
