I know on the passenger side under the glove box. Theres a lil gold metal box with some numbers. Write them down. Used them numbers on the door. Theres a sticky somewhere on the org on it.

sounds to me like you need to take a test light and trace the wires.
they may not have hooked up the keypad at the door to body area when the door was replaced.

wow....that was easy....I like!!! going to take off the drivers side door panel and see whats the deal with that keep pad.....other than connections to the handle itself.....is there anything specifically i should be looking for? I did notice a wire was snipped in the door panel but could find from where...

suggestions??

thanks again for the instructions

I had the same problem, one side worked and one didnts. It should be the keypad itself. Go to a junkyard and get it for 10 bucks, look for the nicests non punctured one and just plug it in should do wonders. As for the keypad, just be a lazy *** like myself and go to the nissan dealership closest to you. They'll have a tech look for it under the glove compartment

My question is how do you remove the faulty keypads( which none of mine is working, thus causing my alarm not to work)?

What do you mean remove the keypads? You'd have to get a different handle assembly from a junkyard or something from an SE. Also, I doubt the handles are causing your horn not to work.

You have to remove the inside trim panel, then remove the door handle/key pad assembly from there...

You do not need to change the entire door handle assembly, just remove the door panel and once you look inside there should be 2 phillips scews, remove em and then trace the cable until you find the plug, disconnect it and voila, reverse process for installation.

What would be the difference of that vs. leaving them alone (Since they're not working anyway) This is why I thought you wanted to remove them completely with a non-keypad handle.

And I haven't donated yet so I don't have the search but I do have a free search. Seems like people are too afraid to use google these days, all the answers are out there, you just have to find them.

Well if you replace the whole door handle assembly you also get a different lock cylinder which means your key WONT open that lock.

If you rather change the whole thing then you're just asking for more work. Its only 2 phillips screws to remove and one plug to unhook. I have my spare door with everything in it still. I will try to get a picture so you see what I mean but for now its bed time.

His horn works fine, it is his alarm that doesn't work.
