My Maxima has been throwing this CEL code 32 for a while now....but registration renewal is coming in August and for sure it will not pass.

i can reset the ECU but it keeps coming back after a few miles. ggrrrrr!

i already replaced the EGR valve, Checked the vacuum hoses for any disconneted hose. i also seafoamed this.

what else do i need to fix / replace? any help is greatly appreciated....

 

Since our cars are OBDI and not OBDII I doubt they will plug it in, they will probably just hook up an intake for the exhaust gases.

Edit: But you are from Cali so who knows...

 

Code 32 is clearly EGR related
Did you replace the EGR with a new one or a used one?
If you disconnect the vacuum hose and rev up the engine, do you get vacuum?
Are you sure the vacuum hose is not clogged or does not have any leaks?

If the EGR is new, I'd also buy a new vacuum hose.
