He everyone... Well my tranny finaly got that flush. It is so much better now. I put in synthetic Castrol Transmax Z.
Gear changes much better and tranny does not seem to get so hot like before. I even had more power responce when overtaking my friend on the way home on the HWY. We where racing back and he said that his Holden Commordore VP 3.8 Litre way much faster then my Max. But I showed him....
Thanks for the advice to get tranny flushed and switch to synthetic transmission fluid...

Question...

How much did it cost? I assume you had to provide your own fluid since you were switching to synthetic. How many quarts did you buy to flush and fill the tranny?

What type of fluid is used in a VE with an auto? I mean the type that the car had from stock. Can't seem to find anything on it.

Amount and Costs....

Well guys I brought 9 litres of Transmax Z Synthetic tranny fluid for my flush. I was told to bring 8 litres, but I got an extra litre bottle just in case. They used it anyway in the flush. Thats is all I had to supply. There is no need to replace filter etc.
The cost of 9 litres of the tranny fluid was $140. Not cheap. But that is Australian dollars..... Not sure what that would be in US Dollars. It cost me $66 for the flush because I supplied my own fluid.

Orignaly the Maxima's left the factory with Dextron 2 fluid in there trannys if you wanted to know. A Nissan labeled brand.

My tranny feels so much better with Synthetic............
