unless you mean really dark grey you are wrong. It is black...here is a pic of my old car with the stillen kit on but not painted.

any color you like as long as it's urethane black.

no there's no primer applied on it. there's a thin flim of release agent that you need to scrub off before you apply any coating.

It is plastic, and you're going to want to get it painted the same as your car anyway.

Where do you find the color code for your car? Also, gelcoat is very involved. I just redid the bottom of my Sunfishsailboat. It will add weight to your car! Be careful!

what will add weight to your car? the kit...gelcoat?

anyway as stated before it is not gelcoated. The kit will not add that much weight because its urethane and very light. I would say in total its only maybe 15-20lbs.

the paint code is under the hood of the car on a silver plaque placed on the firewall.

you can decode it by going to paintscratch.com and match it up to their code.

this makes no sense at all. If you are going to paint the car then paint the kit along with it...you aren't talking about adding much extra and if your car is anything but black now it will cost more to do a correct color change than to just paint the kit along with your paint job. Plus the stillen kit doesn't exactly look perfect unpainted and will look even funnier on a freshly painted car.

NO. BAD. Read the instructions and scrub off the top layer like it says, and get it painted.

Also, the weight of the kit (sans paint) is less than 10lbs. Mine just shipped out yesterday and the package is listed as 9lbs.
