the trunk

the trunk

Okay well I have a slight issue. My trunk dosnt stay open without me holding it up or it being on a slope.
I have some newer springs for the trunk from my uncles junker neon but I dont see where they go. But I did notice that theres a broken piece. heres a pic of what im talking about.

there's a bracket that's missing, In the first picture, the bracket is circled, and in the second, i've circled the two points that the bracket mounts to.

i'm not too sure as to what the replacement procedures are, but if you have another bracket, you should be able to figure it out pretty easily.


edit: upon inspection of my brackets and trunk mounting setup, it appears you may need the entire lift arm, (as circled in the next picture), unless you drill out the replacement bracket and use a bolt instead.

also, if you need another bracket, i'm sure i could pull one off my parts car and get it to you for the cost of shipping plus a couple dollas.

Im gonna go to the junkyard to the max out there and see if it has the trunk setup. Then Ill pm you about the bracket. thankyou. :]
