I have a 94 se with bose

I bought new 4x6 pioneer speakers for the front
thinking the stock speakers are 4"

Someone said they might be 6.5"

If they are, the 4x6s might be a waste of money and might not sound as good

I could sell them and buy new 6.5"s, and save money by not installing them and taking them out to put new ones in

What size are my front speakers?

Would it be a mistake to put 4x6s in the front doors?

Help soon!

The front BOSE speakers are NOT 4 X 6...i have a pod in my lap and i'd say the speaker is actually 4.5" or so around. The shape is funny and you will never find an exact replacement. Your best bet is to remove the BOSE all together and get some 6.5's and just build a template to install them into...i think someone actually has some diagrams around here to build a template...

If you have the bose you can fit 5.25" by just drilling new screw holes

Wanna save even more?

Do what I did, install the speakers yourself! You wouldn't believe how easy it is... just take the other speakers out (The hardest part is getting panel off..) disconnect the older speakers and take them out, and then just connect the same wires to the same parts on the new speaker. I think cheston at MaximaDriver.com has instructions too... installing all 4 of my speakers saved me $70.
