Eesh! I have 225's and they occasionally rub on the back inner edge of the front tires when turning all the way to lock. That combo's gonna be dicey.

it depends...

.. on the Offset....

I am not exactly sure which way it is, but I think the smaller the offset, the more it will push the rim out of the fender well, for the Maxima anything between 35-42 is okay (if i am not mistaken, someone correct me if I am wrong). So I think if you go with a lower offset like a 36 or so, it will be better... I had 225s on my car too, they rubbed just slightly on full turns, there are guys running 235s on 3rd gens and no problems. So it's possible, just need the right offset.

that combo could be a problem with the sprints...i know people (myself included within the next month or so) run 235/45 with a 17X8 rim but with eibachs

do you think i'd be rubbing on little turns, or only when I crank it?

i rub with my 225 40 18 on the back tires when i have people in backseat so if you have a lowered car, i don't think 235 will fit

I want to but these 18 inch rims. They are five bolt lug and the owner told me that they are 5lug by 135mm. Does anybody know if that will fit a 3rd gen max. The owner said that it would fit trucks and SUV's but not sure about a maxima.
