Joy then sorrow.........
I just got my car back from the shop, needed a new axle, so I got that done, had my 18's in the garage...Got home put on the rims, look awesome and the wheel gap wasnt that bad, I have the new suspension in the basement going on probally next week...Then, I'm showing my Dad, and he noticed a clunk , pops the hood, the engine is coming up out of the car.... So, how much does it cost to have new engine mounts put in ?? I am so beyond broke right now...This really sucks !!

. i wanna see pics of the tsw rims on your car1
Are you sure its the mounts? Usually when a mount goes bad you notice it when you are accelerating (or decelerating with a 5sp) and you hear a *knock* from the rubber mount centers disentigrating. If the engine looks literally like its coming out of the car, I would check the bolts holding the mounts. It could possibly be related to the recent axle service.

if ur car is auto press and hold the brake pedal down, hold it, then shift to Drive, keep holding brake pedal down, then press on gas ever so slightly to see if the engine is moving, then let go of gas, and do it again just to see it moving back/forth/up/down, sorta movement. then try it in Reverse.
if you have manual just put it in gear and do the same as above. and try reverse too
if the engine moves while u press the gas pedal , with the brake down, then ur motor mounts are probably broken, or the bolts arent in place... check the mounts they job and be done at home or taken to a shop.. if done at home, a front motor mount is around 60, im not too sure about the rear one..
how hard of a job is this to do , and where casn I get the mounts...I just got back from my mechanic and he told me around $250.00 for the mounts....Also , what would the axle service have to do with the engine mounts ??
If they were lazy and didn't know anything about maximas, they could have removed the center crossmember to get at the bolts for the bearing support on the pass. side CV axle, which could have something to do with it. Its pretty tight up in there and its a lot easier to get at the bolts if either the crossmember or the Y pipe is removed(which is more work than is practicle for the pain for removing 3 bolts the hard way...)
err?

yea that engine hopping happened to me to, it was the front motor mount or the biggest one, and it was like 200 or something dollars to fix.
